FAQ's

We have tried to anticipate as many questions as possible, but in case we haven’t answered yours, feel free to contact us! Should any problems or questions arise during your stay at Willow Ledge Retreat or Hosta Haven Retreat, please contact Sherri at willowledgeretreat@gmail.com or 920-322-5220.

 

Is Smoking allowed at the Retreat?

There is no smoking allowed inside the buildings. There will be buckets to safely deposit cigarette butts outside.

 

Can we bring our own alcoholic beverages?

Yes, there are wine glasses and margarita glasses available for you.

 

Are any meals provided?

No food is provided. We do provide coffee, basic spices, bottled water and ice.  You are welcome to bring your own food and do your own cooking in the kitchen.  There is a dishwasher to make clean up easier. View a list of our kitchen inventory here. There is a refrigerator in the kitchen (WLR & HHR) and in the retreat workroom garage (WLR only).

 

What time is check in and check out?

Check in time is 10:00 am and check out time is 3:00 pm. However, if you would like to arrange different times, please just let us know.

 

Is there a scrapbooking store in the area?

JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby are located about 20 minutes from the retreat on the west side of Fond du Lac and Crafter's Studio in New Holstein is about 20 miles east of here.

 

What should I bring with me on the Retreat?

Your personal crafting supplies, personal toiletries, and comfy, lounging clothes! There are multiple TV’s and DVD players, so bring some movies along! All TV's are smart TV's, so bring your passwords to access Netflix, etc.... There is also a CD player/radio provided.

 

Where do we park?

At Willow Ledge Retreat, there are several parking spots available right in the driveway of the retreat. Five cars can park in front of retreat house and six or seven cars can park in front and side of the retreat workroom. At Hosta Haven, 4 cars can park in the driveway, 2 in garage and there is additional street parking available. At both locations, there is also a back-in garage port near the retreat workrooms to make unloading and re-loading your supplies hassle-free and weather-protected.

 

Do we have to clean?

Absolutely not! We will take care of that after your stay.  The only thing we ask is that you leave the kitchen as it was when you arrived. Please wash all dishes—there is a dishwasher provided. Also, please take out the garbage in the kitchen and make sure you remove all your food from the refrigerator!

 

Is there cable TV?

No, there is no cable TV.  However, the TV’s are smart TV's and can be connected to Netflix... and there are DVD players for you to watch all the movies you’d like. Hundreds of movies are available for your use. 

 

What about security?

All doors to the Retreat houses and Retreat workroom are coded. You will receive the code prior to your arrival.

 

Can you give us information about the Retreat Workrooms?

At Willow Ledge Retreat, the Retreat Workroom is a separate building from the Retreat House. There is a covered walkway between the two buildings to keep you warm and dry.  The Retreat Workroom has a garage area to back your car into to unload your supplies.  The Retreat Workroom does not have a bathroom or water, but the retreat house is just steps away.

The Retreat workroom at Hosta Haven Retreat is located on the main floor just off of the kitchen, easily accessible by the front door and the garage, which also has a ramp and unloading area to easily bring in your supplies!

 

What happens if we accidentally pack up an item that belongs to Willow Ledge Retreat or Hosta Haven Retreat?

We do an inventory check before you arrive to make sure the Retreat is fully stocked for you. If we find that something is missing, we will contact the group coordinator about the missing items.  You will be responsible for paying the shipping to have the item returned to us, and if it can’t be located, the renter/coordinator will be billed for the missing items.
