Things to do
Walking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing are available just down the road at Kiekhaefer Park. kiekhaeferpark.org
Walking paths are located just up the road on WH.
Fond du Lac, Lake Winnebago, and Lakeside Park are only a few miles away.
Columbia Park has a lookout tower located in Pipe on Hwy 151. http://www.fdl.com/details/todo/columbia-park/
Heading north on Hwy 151 is great orchard, gift shop, and bakery called The Little Farmer. Open in the fall months, it is definitely worth stopping by: their caramel apples, muffins, and pies are amazing.

Restaurants
In Pipe (north on Hwy 151) there is a great restaurant/bar called Big Al Capones, as well as Pipe B&B Express gas station which serves great broasted chicken.
Jim & Linda’s, also located nearby, is a very nice supper club overlooking Lake Winnebago jimandlindas.net
Jet’s Pizza delivers to Willow Ledge Retreat (it is located in the plaza by Festival Foods).
Additionally, there is a McDonalds, Culvers, Subway, and 3 Chinese Restaurants right around that area.
A favorite restaurant of ours is Backyard Bar and Grill, located just a little farther off the highway in that area, near the Piggly Wiggly.
Heading toward Fond du Lac on Winnebago Drive, there is Sunset on Water Grill and Bar and a little closer to town is Smitty’s Oar House Restaurant/ Bar: both great options for a dinner out!
Gilles Frozen Custard Drive-In is a Landmark in Fond du Lac. It is located on South Main St. and is open seasonally.
Mix It Up Bakery is located on Main St. It has incredible donuts and pastries and is open Wednesday through Sunday mornings: definitely a must try!
Joe’s Fox Hut Pizza is arguably the best pizza around. It is also located on Main St. in downtown Fond du Lac. They will deliver pizza here.
Urban Fuel is a coffee, wine, food cafe in Peebles on WH.
Pamela's also in Peebles on WH is a great restaurant/bar!
B& B Express is on the corner of Hwy 23 and W. The have gas, convenience items, broasted chicken, fish and sandwiches. It is only 5 minutes from Hosta Haven Retreat.
Shopping
In Peebles are several nice shops and restaurants. These include Pamela's, Urban Fuel Café, TheSpa, Just Fare market and Kreative Kraftwerks.
Two grocery stores, Festival Foods and Piggly Wiggly, are only a few minutes away on East Johnson St.
In downtown Fond du Lac, there are plenty of nice stores and restaurants on Main St and on W. Johnson St.
There is a JoAnn Fabrics located across from the mall in Fond du Lac and Crafter's Studio in New Holstein.
